Two-in-one family takaful scheme

KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 -- Hong Leong Tokio Marine Takaful Bhd yesterday launched HLTMT i-Invest, a single contribution investment-linked family takaful scheme which provides investment and protection returns. 

According to the company, the new scheme is an alternative investment solution for those seeking diversification in medium-term investment with takaful protection. 

Chief executive officer Ezamshah Ismail said in a statement HLTMT i-Invest was a two-in-one scheme aimed at not only protecting customers' wealth but also increasing it. 

"This scheme is designed to cater for those seeking a low risk type of investment vehicle that offers a potentially higher fixed deposit benefits," he said. 

Ezamshah said depending on their risk appetite, customers may choose from two products available - income fund and balanced fund.  

"The uniqueness of HLTMT i-Invest is that customers will receive both 125% of single contribution and the accumulated investment values in the event of death or total permanent disability," the company said. 

It added that customers who purchased the scheme from May 21 to July 21 would enjoy waiver on certain administrative fees.
