Family Takaful scheme that provides protection and investment returns

Kuala Lumpur, 16 August 2007- Hong Leong Tokio Marine Takaful Berhad (HLTM Takaful) today launched HLTMT i -Save, a Regular Contribution Investment-Linked Family Takaful scheme.

HLTMT i -Save offers both protection and savings. Participants will receive coverage benefit for Death or Total Permanent Disability (TPD) as well as the full value of units in their Participant's Investment Account (PIA). This scheme can also be structured to provide for the various financial needs such as old age retirement and savings for children's education. "For Muslims, the Takaful Benefit (upon Death) can be a gift for their loved ones without any encumbrances," said Ezamshah Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of HLTM Takaful.

With HLTMT i -Save, the contribution amount can be as low as RM100 with flexible payments either monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annually. Whether you are a 60 year old adult or a 1-month old baby, all customers pay the same amount. Participants can also opt for the sum covered to be between 5 times - 50 times of their Annual Contribution depending on their age. A portion of the contribution will be allocated for investment in funds of their choice of either Income Fund or Balanced Fund.

"Both funds, invested in accordance with Shariah principles, will be managed in-house and backed by the Group's Financial Services companies, which provides a broad spectrum of financial services in investment, finance and stock broking throughout Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. HLTMT i -Save scheme is available nationwide through our trusted Takaful agents.
